Forest View Elementary School’s mission is to help students grow intellectually, socially and emotionally as they become creative, confident problem solvers prepared for global citizenship. With more than 25 countries represented in our student body, we offer a unique international perspective for students and parents. The diversity of our student body enriches the classroom learning environment and enlarges students’ understanding of our complex world.

Contact the office at 919.560.3932 for more information or to arrange a visit to Forest View Elementary School.

Need to register a new student?
If you child's first language is English, you may register at Forest View Elementary School from Monday-Thursday, 9am-3pm. If your child's first language is not English, you must make an appointment to register your child at the DPS ESL Office, 560-2510 or 560-2137. To register, you will need a copy of the child's birth certificate, social security card, and immunization record. You will also need proof of residency (a lease, deed, or tax bill).

Forest View has an E-Mail List for Parents!
Forest View now has an email list through Yahoo Groups. This group is set up so that school officials and PTA board members can make announcements about upcoming school events to the group. The group is not meant to be a forum for discussion but merely an additional way of notifying the Forest View community about important school news. Sign up

Volunteer for Forest View

Check out the outdoor learning initiative at Forest View We believe important learning happens outdoors as well as indoors. Take a closer look.

It is important to be on time for school! We begin unloading car riders at 8:35 a.m. and open our classrooms at 8:40 a.m. Dismissal begins at 3:30 p.m. Our front office is open from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., on school days.
